Dierks Bentley is used to signing his name on all sorts of things for fans, but one lady stopped him dead in his tracks with her autograph request. According to Atlanta's WKHX radio station, a fan handed Dierks a marker and asked him to sign her two-week-old baby's head! The request made Dierks uneasy, to say the least, but he finally relented and gently placed his John Hancock on the baby."The head at that point is so vulnerable and transparent," said a concerned Dierks. "I just hopefully didn't get any ink in the child's brain!"
Dierks tells the station his own daughter Evie's head is definitely off-limits for autographs. And anyone close to Evie with a Sharpie, beware of her in-house babysitter. Dierks' longtime canine companion Jake has taken on the role of third parent to his baby girl. "He guards her," Dierks tells WMDH.com of Jake. "If we go upstairs to look at her crib, he walks up right beside us. He thinks he's the second man of the house!"

Thats still pretty cool that he signed it...carefully. I like hearing stories like this. There are still some good people out there. And I have a dog just like his. Its my shadow, just wants to make sure everything is A.O.K. In the house.

What an idiotic mother - good lord
Angelaat 7-29-2009
Dear Dierks, if a fan asked you to jump off a bridge, would you? Then why would you do something else you believe to be wrong just because a fan asks you to? Yes, as someone said, idiotic mother. But is her request more idiotic than the person who actually did what she asked?

he didn't say he thought it was wrong...he said it made him uneasy. read the article.

How weird are these people who have babies? Really. Doesn't the mother know that markers contain toxic chemicals that can seep into the child's skull and brain and cause permanent damage? Morons.

Obama has very smelly feet and has planned a retreat this Summer to work on the problem. He and the First Family are planning to spend their summer break on a $20 million retreat on the wealthy Farm playground island off Cape Cod.
The farm features a swimming pool, golf practice facilities,a basketball court, access to a private beach — Mr Obama plays regularly and feels his smelly feet will benefit from a little workout; — the retreat has rental price tag of $50,000 a week. Oh, and Obama has justified the price tag as his way of STIMULATING the economy and furthering his bipartisan agenda (the farm is owned by a Republican).

What's nuts is if you actually believe all that. The REPUBLICAN PARTY is the NATIONAL ENQUIRER of politcs. You must be one of their writers.
dowellgodwinat 7-29-2009
uh, no, you're the one who is nuts....but it has come to be expected that sore losers can insinuate their anti-obama rhetoric into any blog, even if the article is about a country singer and a baby.
i'm sure there's a connection somewhere.

Wow. They both are crazy. I don't find this funny at all and people are acting like it's okay! I feel so bad for the poor baby :( Am I the only one who thinks this is wrong? What the heck-

I am with you, not only is it unsafe with the toxins, but was it after a concert? who the hell would bring a 2 week old out ANYWHERE where there are so many people and germs. I know babies need to build up immunity but not that early in huge crowds like that.

People should have to get a license to have kids......

I do agree that Dierks probably should have followed his gut feeling and not have signed the baby's head.
However, my question is what stupid mother would bring a 2 week old baby to a concert in the first place?
The noise is beyond belief and the crowd is way to much.
I have been to a Dierks concert and can tell you I was almost deaf, but loved every minute of my time. NO WAY would I subject any small child to that.
